KAMHI KENN APEL* Memphis State University, Memphis, TN The hypothesis-testing abilities of 15 vocabulary-impaired and 15 ordinarily developing children matched for mental age were investigated utilise discrimination-learning tasks. The subjects in twain groups were presented with dickens founds of discriminationlearning problems. One set of problems feature explicit introduce concerning the correct response choice. The results revealed both differences in the effect of the MA-matched and language-impaired children and differences in performance on the two types of problems.
