The Film Short Cut Directed by Robert Altman, produced by Cary Brokaw, Scott Bushnell, Mike Kaplan, and David Levy, written by Robert and Frank Barhydt, based on the short stories of Raymond Carver, which be very twisted up stories that produce the viewer and readers wondering what the next scene or story is expiration to be. Both the book and the film are so interesting and somewhat related that as you read or watch the stories it makes you anticipate of what you are going to see or read next.
The beginning of the movie started off very different, theory with the sound of a helicopter and city view with a dramatic music in the background. The sound then intensify to a soft violin mixed with dramatic sounds. excessively the first picture that was shown is helicopters lined up in the air, and a narrative voice in the background which later on showed a news reporter speaking of Los Angeles and its issues. Afterward I notice the camera showed a family interacting in an overlapping dialogue, which gave a clue of what the movie is going to be. The first thing came to disposition was that the movie is not going to be a fairyland tale with a happy family and kids.
As the movie get ahead I notice that they were showing different stories of different families that were going through issues with themselves.



Reading the book gave me an idea of what the stories are somewhat and more detailing on their issues. Reading the story Neighbors gave me an within look on flush and his wife Arlene and the problems they were going through. They envy their neighbors lifestyle, as the family left for vacation and leave them in point of their apartment they figure it is a way for them to have a taste of their lives, by staying at the house while they are gone. The book gave more detail on the action that Bill and his wife took during this time period.
