The career of a tike was quite a stern one. If the peasants wanted to live in a ho practice session on the Lord of the manors grounds, they had to excogitate on the toss off for their house and wear some rent. The rent was usually disposed(p) to the Lord in the form of taxes or livestock. Families also had to use their Lords Mill to grind their corn and had to pay for the privilege of using it.
The lords had lots of control over their people. They could adjust marriages, and organise the care of any children that were orphans. Young orphan boys were sometimes looked after by the Lord or they were sent to some other family.
Peasants could not leave the manor with step forward permission from the Lord. Any peasants who move to run away from the manor would be captured and punished but they would not be killed because the Lord couldnt get justify of his workers as they were hard to replace. Also, the Lord would get less funds because he would no longer receive their taxes.
Peasants did have a few rights. They could pass down the land that they own to their sons for them to work on. The richer peasants could also pay some money to the Lord of the manor allowing them to leave his land or they could marry someone that is not from the Lords town. It was very unlikely that a peasant could become an important person.
The only way to become this was done the church with its education that could help you go higher up the feudal system.
In conclusion, I think that the Lord had a lot of control over the peasants life and family. However, money played an important part in medieval peasant life because the more you had the more freedom it allowed you,
