In a more computerized fashion, the Jacquard Loom from 1804 gave a major contribution to the advancing technology. The Loom was the first piece of technology to have important information saved and removable. Jacquard intentional his loom to be controlled by incompatible cards with dissimilar series of holes punched in them.
